We Must Not Trust In Ourselves Or Other Mortal Men

Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; CURSED BE THE MAN THAT TRUSTETH IN MAN, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 7 Blessed is the man that trusteth IN THE LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

We should not trust in our churches or pastors for things that only God can do.

1 Corinthians 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

2 Corinthians 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that WE SHOULD NOT TRUST IN OURSELVES, BUT IN GOD which raiseth the dead:

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe ON HIS NAME: 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth IN HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life. 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth IN ME, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, HAVE FAITH IN GOD.

Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith IN CHRIST JESUS.

Isaiah 31:1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but THEY LOOK NOT UNTO THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, neither seek the LORD! 3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
